During our time spent in animal rescue work, we noticed that this is mainly due to various misconceptions regarding Spay/ Neuter (or Sterilization), which is the only humane solution to the problem of overpopulation. So, when a pet has an unwanted litter, people dump the pet and the litter on the road to starve and die. The ones who survive against all odds, are who we call strays/ street dogs.
